the sea was just so close...

stare into the void as I sever all our ties

have always seen the lows
of a lesser man – that I am and have always been
you have known it for so long but still you (have) walked on

i cannot renounce what i have done to you
your wounds never healed just became wider
i hoped to wash you clean in the waters of the sea
but the threads became worn and our bonds lighter
